Lincoln County investigating alleged homicide

Star Journal Report

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office is reporting what they believe is a homicide in the town of Pine River.  Officers responded to a residence on Range Line road Feb. 14 for what they thought was a welfare check. When they arrived, officers found a 77-year old woman deceased, allegedly from a gunshot wound and a 78-year old man who was critically injured from a gunshot wound. He remains hospitalized and his condition is unknown.

The incident is under investigation and law enforcement believes it is an isolated incident with no danger to the public.
