Kwiatkowski honored for work as SDR business manager

Marta Kwiatkowski, Director of Business Services for the School District of Rhinelander, was recognized recently as the School Business Manager of the Year by the Wisconsin Association of School Business Officials.

Kwiatkowski has worked in the school district since 2006 and was instrumental in gaining community support and awareness of the necessity of passing school referendums. Kwiatkowski is also credited in part for the creation of a school medical clinic for district staff which includes chiropractic care which has been heavily utilized, saving the district thousands of dollars.

“Marta’s success in Rhinelander is due to her philosophy to always improve,” noted on nomination letter. “She is always focusing on the best solution for her district as well as her colleague’s districts.” In addition to her role in the business office, Kwiatkowski serves on the Hodag Schools Foundation Board of Directors which provides financial support for programs and facilities which has let to various district upgrades including the development of a Fab Lab in the high school.
