Obituary: Albert Thompson
Albert Thompson, age 92 of Rhinelander, died Thursday, Sept.13, 2018, at Friendly Village Nursing and Rehab. He was born May 17, 1926, in Badger, Minnesota to Knut and Carrie (Dole) Thompson.
Albert served in the U.S. Army during World War II and again in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
Albert is survived by many nieces and nephews, including Wanda Shelton of Roseville, Minn.; in-laws, including Robert (Carolyn) Arndt of Green Bay, Donna Fields of Indianapolis, Ind., Joyce Lindquist of Superior, and Arnold Arndt of Janesville.
Albert was preceded in death by his wives, Edna, Adah, and Pearl; three sisters, Nora, Alice, and Cora; and three brothers, Obert, Richard, and Clarence.
A graveside service followed by military honors will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 27, at Newbold Memorial Cemetery. Please meet at the cemetery. (Carlson Funeral Home)
