It’s Constitution Day and Citizenship Day!

The Rhinelander District Library is celebrating the 231st anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Constitution today. Sept. 17 is designated as Constitution Day and Citizenship Day to commemorate the signing of the Constitution in Philadelphia on this date in 1787.
It was then that the 39 delegates to the Constitutional Convention met to sign the document, the U.S. Constitution, they created.
A pocket-sized version of the document is available free at the adult services check-out desk at the Rhinelander District Library through Sept. 21.
