GIRLS VOLLEYBALL: Hodags drop GNC opener at Medford

The Rhinelander High School varsity girls volleyball team opened its Great Northern Conference schedule Thursday at Medford, where the Hodags lost in three straight games, 14-25, 15, 25, 16-25.
RHS’s statistical leaders included: Hope Wissbroecker, 15 kills, 13 digs and three blocks; Stephanie Kuester, 19 digs; and Ally Seefeldt, 19 set assists.
The Hodags, whose season record dropped to 0-1 in the GNC and 5-4 overall, return to action Saturday with an invitational at Marshfield High School.
