OBITUARY: Gordon D. Pack
Gordon D. Pack, age 80 of the Town of Woodboro, died Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2016 at Golden Age – Golden Living Center in Tomahawk. He was born on Feb. 13, 1936 in Zion, Ill. to Winston and Helen (Brooks) Pack.
Gordon attended Zion Benton High School and later served in the U.S. Navy. Following his honorable discharge, he was employed by Johnson Motors, worked on various horse farms, and was employed for 30 years by Armin Tools until his retirement.
Gordon married Beth Rees on Dec. 2, 1966, in Zion, Ill. and they resided in Illinois until moving to Woodboro in 2005. He was a member of Pine Grove Community Church and enjoyed fishing and woodworking.
Gordon is survived by his wife, Beth Pack of Rhinelander; four daughters, Melody Pack, Marjorie (John) Larkin, Nancy (Dennis) Drescher and Norma (Rodney) Drescher; a son, Bruce (Jeanette) Pack; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Janice (Ray) Brown and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Donna Buchanan.
A memorial service for Gordon will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 20 at Pine Grove Community Church in Rhinelander with Pastor Jeff O’Malley officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 1 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the church.
