Obituary: Cynthia Parkinson
Cynthia Parkinson, age 83, died Aug. 18, 2020, at her home in Cornwall Bridge, Connecticut.
Cynthia was born May 3, 1937, in Park Falls to Leonard and Edna (Yohe) Parkinson. She grew up in Park Falls and Rhinelander where she graduated from high school in 1955. Cynthia attended college at the University of Wisconsin in Madison before moving to New York to pursue a career in public relations. She worked in this field for Roosevelt Hospital and the National Society to Prevent Blindness. Cynthia spent her later years working in the antiques field where her specialty was framing vintage and antique prints and engravings. She was also a poet who was published in several poetry magazines and journals over the years.
Cynthia is grieved over by her daughter, Melissa Tucker and her grandsons, Ethan and Dylan Tucker of Corte Madera, California; her son, Michael Margolies of Rego Park, New York and her grandson, Nico Margolies; her nephews, Randy Parkinson and Brad Parkinson; and her niece, Katherine Parkinson. Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Ronald Parkinson, and her nephew, Craig Parkinson.
