Obituary: Joan Waldvogel
Joan A. Waldvogel, age 86 of Rhinelander, died Sunday, Nov. 8, 2020. She was born June 18, 1934 in Antigo to George and Clara Steber.
Joan is survived by her children, Debra (Steve) Gainey of Manitowoc, Bruce (Dianne) Waldvogel of Arizona, Kelly Von Oepen of Rhinelander and Anthony “Tony” Waldvogel of Ohio; siblings, John “Jack” (Dorothy) Steber of Marathon, Elizabeth “Jeanne” Mugavero of Wausau, Helen )Gene) Mason of Appleton and Barbara (Tom) Boettcher of Crivitz; sister-in-law, Better Steber; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon; an infant daughter, Angel; brother, George “Bud” Steber; sisters, Carol Zoern and Jane Pagel; two brothers-in-law, Donald Zoern and Leonard Pagel.A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrate Friday, Nov. 13 at Nativity of Our Lord Church, followed by interment at the parish cemetery.
