Organizers of the local Warm for Winter clothing giveaway have decided not to open this fall or winter, nor take donations.

“It was not an easy decision,” said Jan Leschke. “The program has been such a success over the years; recycling good, warm clothing, footwear and bedding in our community.”

Leschke said space constraints force volunteers to work in close contact with one another and with the donated goods. She said she hopes to be able to bring Warm for Winter back sometime in the future.
