“Rhinelander Gems” revealed at annual chamber dinner

STAR JOURNAL REPORT
The Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce celebrated area businesses and volunteers during its annual dinner Thursday.

Each year the chamber honors businesses in each of the three chamber membership categories, a non-profit organization and two community volunteers of the year.

The 2017 awards were handed out by executive director Maggie Steffen as follows:

Culver’s of Rhinelander, Retail Business of the Year;
Hodag Country Fest, Tourism and Convention Business of the Year;
Expera Specialty Solutions, Business/Professional/Industrial Business of the Year;
Rhinelander Lions Club, Non-Profit Organization of the Year;
Tina Werres, Female Community Volunteer of the Year;
Mike Michalak, Male Community Volunteer of the Year.
