Obituary: Marilyn E. Zwaard
Marilyn E. Zwaard, died June 3, 2017, at the Aspirus Wausau Hospital following complications from a stroke. She was born in Duluth, Minn. to Howard and Edith Farrell. She attended schools in Duluth, graduating from East High School.
Marilyn had been employed by Master Lock in Milwaukee, then Triumph Twist Drill in Rhinelander for 23 years and finally for Harley Davidson for 10 years. She retired from Harley Davidson. While working at Twist Drill she met Gary Zwaard, her husband to be, and they enjoyed 35 years of marriage.
Marilyn is survived by her husband Gary, her sons, Ryan (Tara) Zwaard and Clint (Anna Gauthier) Zwaard; her mother-in-law, Gladys Smith, and the love of her life, her five wonderful grandchildren, Tanner, Macy, Sam, Kaleb and Ellie, other family and many friends. Marilyn will be missed by her family, friends and her dogs. She loved her dogs and often times had four or five at a time.
A memorial visitation will be held Wednesday, June 7 from 5-7 p.m., with a memorial service at 7 p.m., all at the Carlson Funeral Home. (Carlson Funeral Home)
