Star Journal Report

Citing his great attitude, impressive skills, and solid work ethic, the Nicolet College Welding Department has awarded its 2016 Top Gun Welding Award to Brett LaBrasca of Rhinelander.

“We had several top-performing students, any one of which would have been deserving of the award,” said Warren Krause, Nicolet College welding instructor. “What set Brett apart was a combination of factors. These included his technically-strong welding skills, his willingness to help others, a perfect attendance record, and the great attitude he brought to class every day.”
He graduated in May from Nicolet with a technical diploma in Welding and plans to continue his education and earn a two-year associate’s degree in Welding.
