Obituary: Dorothy L. Goyins
Dorothy Lucille Goyins, age 89 of Rhinelander, died Friday, April 7, 2017 at her home. She was born January 14, 1928 in Montreal to John and Florence (Wheeler) Valle.
Dorothy attended schools in Hurley and graduated from Hurley High School. She then attended Gogebic Community College for a year and a half. After her schooling Dorothy married Frederick Goyins Dec. 11, 1963. After they were married Fred and Dorothy traveled frequently around the country, moving to wherever Fred was stationed while he was in the Navy.
Dorothy was a 35-year member of Grace Foursquare Church in Rhinelander where she attended regularly. She enjoyed many things in life one of which was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Dorothy also loved to cook and every once in a while liked to play bingo at the casino.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, Frederick Goyins; daughters, Cindy (Mark) Recha, Tammy (Jeff) Johnson both of Rhinelander, and Diane (Michael) McWalter of Woodstock, Ga.; son, Fred Jr. (Kim) Goyins of Rhinelander; grandchildren, Adie Johnson, Jennifer Goyins, Tiffany Gehrig, and Rick Dionne; great-grandchildren, Connor Gehrig and Reese Gehrig; sisters, Pat Kuduk of Ironwood, Mich., and Ginny (Gene) Belmas of Rhinelander; four nieces, three nephews, other family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Clayton Valle. (Carlson Funeral Home)
