Editor,

Being kind not only has a direct effect on others, but it has a positive impact on yourself as well. Everyone can use a little bit of kindness in their live and with Random Act of Kindness week starting Feb. 17, it is about time we start treating people with respect. Kindness is a gift everyone can afford to give; a smile, saying thank you and being patient is a great place to start.
