Gary L. Sparling, age 80 of the town of Woodboro, died Thursday, March 29, 2018. He was born Jan. 2, 1938, in Wichita, Kan. to Fred and Thelma (Neuenschwander) Sparling.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon; his daughter, Kerry Jensen; his son Larry, (Diana) Sparling; six grandchildren; other family and many friends.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents; his infant sister, Donna Lou; his brother, Wilbur; and his son-in-law, Stan Jensen.

Funeral service for Gary will be Saturday, April 14 at 11 a.m., at First United Methodist Church in Rhinelander, with Rev. Keith Wolfe officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Interment will follow in the Forest Home Cemetery. (Carlson Funeral Home)
