GIRLS BASKETBALL: Hodags fall to Cardinals, 52-36

RHS drops to 9-9 overall

STAR JOURNAL REPORT

After trailing by four points at halftime Monday night, the Rhinelander High School varsity girls basketball team could only generate 16 points in the second half and lost at home in non-conference action to Crandon, 52-36.

Kenedy Van Zile and Ally Seefeldt accounted for all but four points of RHS’s scoring with 20 and 12 points, respectively.

Tabitha Renkas scored a game-high 21 points for the Cardinals.

The Hodags’ season record now stands at 9-9 overall and 6-2 in the Great Northern Conference. RHS next hosts Northland Pines in league play this Friday.

Hodags: Kenedy Van Zile 20, Ally Seefeldt 12, Maddie Meyer 2, Marissa Martin 2. 3-pointers: Van Zile 3, Seefeldt 3. Free throws: 6-10. Fouls: 18. Fouled out: Meyer.
