GIRLS BASKETBALL: Hodags down Mosinee, 67-49

RHS 6-1 in GNC

STAR JOURNAL REPORT

After holding a 16-point halftime lead Friday night, the Rhinelander High School varsity girls basketball team ended up winning its Great Northern Conference home game against Mosinee, 67-49.

The Hodags had three players score in double figures led by Ally Seefeldt with a game-high 23 points. Kenedy Van Zile added 20 points with Brooke Mork scoring 12 more.

RHS outshot the Indians from the field overall, 28-66 (42.4 percent) to 20-62 (32.3 percent), and from 3-point range, 5-18 (27.8 percent) to 2-13 (15.4 percent).

The Hodags improved their season record to 6-1 in the GNC and 9-6 overall going into Thursday’s non-conference game at home against Stevens Point Area High School. RHS is then scheduled to play Friday at league-leading Lakeland Union High School.
