STAR JOURNAL REPORT
Ministry Koller Behavioral Health, part of Ascension, offers a monthly mindfulness program in Rhinelander that is free to anyone in the community.

“Staying cool while you are hot” is the featured program for July and will be offered July 18, from 1 – 2:30 p.m. and July 20 from 5 – 6:30 p.m. Both sessions will be held at the Ministry Riverside Clinic at 1020 Kabel Ave. in Rhinelander in the second floor conference room. Advanced registration is not required.

“When people are being mindful, they often describe themselves as having a calm awareness,” said Kathy Mitchell, MA of Ministry Koller Behavioral Health. “Participants in this month’s program will learn what bringing a cool and aware mind can do to help navigate states of impatience, anger, irritability, and frustration.”

Ministry Koller Behavioral Health also offers the Riverside Meditation Group every other Thursday each month. In July, sessions will be held on July 13 and 27 from 5:30 – 7 p.m.

Riverside Meditation Group is an opportunity for anyone with a meditation practice to have regular group support. The Riverside Meditation Group draws from western psychological mindfulness teachings, philosophy, literature, and poetry.

For additional information on the Riverside Medication Group and Mindfulness programs, please contact Ministry Koller Behavioral Health at 715-361-2805.
