Obituary: Ione P. Schoeneck

Ione P. Schoeneck, 84, of Rhinelander, passed away May 27, 2012, at Ministry Saint Mary’s Hospital. She was born on Dec. 9, 1927, in Laona, to Verlin and Nellie (Collins) Starks.

Ione is survived by her three children, Chip (Carol) Schoeneck of Rhinelander, Dolores Chesnut of Waupaca, and Nell (Gene) Stoiber of Oconomowoc; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and three sisters, Bernice Payette of Saxon, Vivian (Frank) Ory of Pelican Lake and Nancy Pugh of Kentucky.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, August “Augie” Schoeneck on May 11, 1982; a sister, Joyce; and two brothers, Donald and Raymond.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 30, at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church with Rev. Matthew Schoell officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at the church.
