There are several potential candidates to run against Scott Walker in the recall election. One of them is former Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk.

I met Kathleen when I was mayor and she was in town giving a talk at Rotary. Over the years we’ve kept in touch, and I am happy to see her name as a leading candidate in the Recall Walker effort. During her 14 years as County Executive, Kathleen balanced budgets while negotiating successfully with unions. She is no ideologue, but a pragmatic problem solver who works to provide good public services while watching the bottom line.

Because I am convinced Kathleen will be a very good governor, I am opening my home so people can meet her, ask questions and get answers. Democrats, Republicans and Independents are welcome!

The Coffee with Kathleen will take place 5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21. Please R.S.V.P. at (715) 369-7328.
