Viewpoint: Writer claims House Republicans flip-flopping on Healthcare
Editor:
Speaker of the House, John Boehner, stated that the American people do not want Obamacare, so he shut down the government in an attempt to defund it.
It is true that 60 percent of Americans question the Affordable Health Care Act.
That is because the republicans spent two years misrepresenting it. The word of a politician is questionable at best, so time should be spent fact checking.
Candidate Romney passed the same bill into law in Massachusetts and they love it.
It was hilarious watching that ridiculous twit trying to backtrack, “Well, it wouldn’t be good for the rest of the country.” It ends the vicious practice of charging ever higher premiums and then rejecting claims because of ‘preexisting conditions’ and then canceling the policy when your age causes increasing health problems. Everyone will be covered at reasonable cost. The Republicans don’t like it because part of the cost is shouldered by the government, paid for by taxes. Anathema to the Koch brothers, because it reduces their profits.
They have been spending half a billion per year buying politicians and advertising to stop it. You will have to decide which is more important, health care for all Americans or increased profits for the Koch brothers. If you decide for America, call Boehner and demand that he do the job you elected him for.
