Viewpoint: Writer questions Nicolet College process on building expansion
Editor:
Why the backdoor?
I read the article where Nicolet College stated that it plans a $4.5 million dollar building expansion and at this cost it would have to be subjected to a public vote. To avoid the project being subjected to approval outside the college they can circumvent the law by dividing into three separate $1.5 loans for the same project. This would avoid accountability to the voting public. Is this not the same problem with our state representatives. Avoiding all opposition and accountability to the law to acquire what they want. Does this sound ethically sound to you?
Food for thought.
