Health department to host car seat safety check
The Oneida County Health department, in collaboration with Safe Kids Worldwide will conduct free car seat inspections on Monday, June 18, from 3 to 6 p.m., at the Rhinelander Fire Department, 128 W. Fredrick St. in Rhinelander.
No appointment is necessary. Just come to the station between the hours of 3 and 6 p.m. and get your car seats checked by a certified car seat technician. Seats will be available for purchase at reduced rates.
Results from previous safety seat checks have shown that four out of five car seats in this area are used incorrectly. Be sure yours is not one of them.
For more information, call Dawn Van Den Heuvel, Public Health Nurse and Certified Car Seat Technician, at (715) 369-6107.
