LeLani R. von Bober, 58, of the Town of Sugar Camp, passed away Friday, June 15, 2012, at the Seasons of Life Hospice in Woodfuff. She was born in Moline, Illinois on Aug. 3, 1953, to Woodrow and Verna (Manning) Ano.

Her family made their home in various areas of Illinois and Wisconsin. On Nov. 5, 1986, in Waukegan, Ill., LeLani was united in marriage to Raymond von Bober. They made their home in Zion and Gurnee, Ill., Appleton and Eagle River, and the couple has lived in Sugar Camp for the past 14 years. LeLani had been employed in the electronic equipment industry working as an Assembler and an Inspector, and found much enjoyment in her work. She enjoyed genealogy, tracing her families’ heritage back to the 1400s. She was an accomplished seamstress, and will be remembered for the Easter dresses she made for her daughter Tiffany and the christening outfits she made for others. LeLani along with her brothers played in a band called the “Satin Finish” during the 1970s, where she played tambourine and was a vocalist in the band. LeLani was a member of PTSD Spousal Support Group.

Surviving, is her loving husband of 25 years, Raymond; two children, Robby (Tiffany) McCollum of Beach Park, Ill., and Tiffany von Bober of Rhinelander; two grandsons, Anthony McCollum, and Austin Smith; five brothers, Woody (Inga) Ano of Sedona, Ariz, Jerry (Diyanne) Ano of Beach Park, Ill., Richard (Cindy) Ano of Zeeland, Mich., Barry Ano (special friend Pegi Brown) of New Harmony, Utah, and Andre (DeLynne) Ano of Valencia, Calif. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She is further survived by a very special friend, Pat Zehren. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services for LeLani will be held on Wednesday, June 20, at 3 p.m., at the Hildebrand-Russ Funeral Home, with Chaplain John Uhlarik officiating.
