Woodruff Center offers youth soccer camp
Marshfield Clinic Woodruff Center (formerly Premier Physical Medicine) is offering a youth soccer camp June 11-15 from 9 a.m. to noon for kids ages 7-11, and from 1-4 p.m. for kids ages 12-15.
“Our goal is to bring wellness programming opportunities to the community, and soccer is a great sport that gets kids involved and active at all ages,” said Dr. James Mullen, physiatrist, Marshfield Clinic Woodruff Center.
The camp will cover the main points of Coerver’s Coaching Pyramid of Player Development. This includes ball mastery; passing and receiving; one versus one, two versus two and three versus three player skill and scrimmage work; speed; finishing; and group play. All instructors will be certified coaches.
“This soccer skill development camp will enhance youth involvement and enjoyment of the game,” Mullen said. Cost for the camp will be $120.
