Obituary: Pearl V. Mitchell

Pearl V. Mitchell, 91, of Rhinelander, died June 2, 2012, at Friendly Village Nursing Home. Pearl was born Aug. 30, 1920, in Rhinelander to George and Matilda (Laddusire) Somers.

She married Harry G. Mitchell in December 1941. Pearl spent her early years raising her children and then later worked in the bakery department at Ray’s Castle Foods for many years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Pearl is survived by her sons, Steven (Susan), Patrick (Nancy), Robert Mitchell; and her daughter, Susan Train; her grandchildren, Nathan (Collette) Mitchell, Jeremy Mitchell, Jennifer (Paul) Skeen, Shawn (Laura) Train, Melissa (Dan) Goosheist, Ryan (Jenny) Train, Travis Jungers, John Mitchell, Christian Mitchell and Katie (James) Peterson; and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded by her husband, Harry in July of 1979; a brother, Howard Somers; and sisters, Leone Kapingst, Helen Holewinski, Frances Somers, Doris Biermier and Myrtle Bergmann.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 6, at 2 p.m., at the Hildebrand-Russ Funeral Home.
