Rhinelander High School’s National Honor Society inducted its newest members Oct. 1. Members are selected on the basis of the four pillars, scholarship, service, leadership and character.
All sophomores, juniors and seniors with a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher were invited to apply for NHS. Each candidate completed an application, highlighting their experience in service, leadership and character.
Once inducted into NHS, students organize and take part in community service projects monthly. Some of this year’s projects include a literacy program that gifts a book to each first grader in the district, collecting aluminum cans for the Humane Society, bingo in nursing homes and more.
Students inducted are Millie Gruett, Samantha Sundby, Ava Krouze, Lucas Haselton, Owen Kurtz, Samson Shinners, Lucianna Grage, Lexi Bishop, Wendy Fronk, Emily Koniar, Nicole Brunette, Eva Heck and Kayla Skubal.
