FOOTBALL
Hodag football coaches used their final four contact days with a camp last week. Tuesday morning a bus took the team to Crandon where the Cardinal coaches conducted warm ups and drills. The teams then played some offense and defense against each other. The Hodags participated in their regular camp in the evening.
Wednesday the Crandon Cardinals got on their bus and came to Rhinelander and for the first portion of the session the players were inside the Hodag Dome as the weather had not been the best. Shortly after the session started, the weather turned so everyone moved outside
Teams again played their offense and defense against the other and to wrap it up, the big rope was brought out and players had a little fun with some tug-of-war. Bigs against bigs, receivers against receivers and then freshman players versus freshmen. The camp ended Thursday with the team working to install the new offense and defense. The first day of practice is Aug. 1, with the first game Aug.18 at Tomahawk.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Head coach Ryan Clark ussed a few of his contact days this week working with the varsity and JV girls. After the high school players were finished, young girls came in and worked on skills and played games.
