Northwoods Derby Knockouts bring Roller Derby back to Eagle River

Get on down to the Eagle River Ice Arena Sept. 21 to check out the Northwoods Derby Knockouts in their fifth bout this year, and their last home appearance this season.

Some may remember the ‘mixer’ the Knockouts hosted last fall to introduce roller derby to the area which had a huge turn out and was a great success.

The Knockouts hope to have another great turnout for their Eagle River debut skating together as a team as they take on the Harbor City Roller Dames from Duluth, Minn. The Knockouts are currently 1-3 in their season with a win over the Keweenaw Roller Girls at the start of their season, and they lost their July bout by only one point. They are hungry for another win.

The bout will take place Sept. 21, at the Eagle River Ice Arena, 4149 Hwy 70 East Eagle River, WI. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the bout starts at 6 p.m. Concessions, soda, and beer will be available.

Advanced tickets can be found at Trig’s. Adult $8, Child 5-12 $5, and children under 5 are free.

Tickets are also available at the door the day of the bout. Adult $10, Child 5-12 $5, & children under 5 are free. $1 from every ticket sold at the door will go to support our featured charity: Tri-County Council on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault.
