The Rhinelander Rebels hosted four teams on Father’s Day weekend for a tournament. The Rebels first played Fond du Lac St. Mary’s Springs and won 8-4 with Ryan Jamison picking up the win on the mound. The game was preceded with members of the Northwoods Honor Guard firing a volley; a member of the group sang the national anthem.
Before they walked off the field coach Joe Patrone presented a check to the chapter to help support them and their mission.
The Rebels second game was on Saturday morning against DC Everest and the Rebels lost 5-3. The last game of the day put the Rebels against Minocqua. The Rebels committed nine errors in the game and left 12 men on base losing 5-6.
The last game of the tournament put the Rebels against Merrill. The game ended with the Rebels on the winning side with a 16-12 score. The Rebels placed second in the tournament while DC Everest won going undefeated.
