‘All Together Now’ summer reading program at RDL

RHINELANDER – Summer Reading kicks off in the Children’s Department June 5 and 6. There will be “Let’s Get Messy Together” featuring outside science and art activities for kids to work on with one another.
Reading and Seeding for all ages with Hanson’s Garden Village is at the Rhinelander District Library, June 12. There will be a family Storytime and then have a planting party at 6 p.m. to celebrate the beginning of the 2023 Summer Reading Program All Together, Now! Also, anyone at the library that day can pick up a puzzle piece to create a community puzzle. There are 72 pieces, and the puzzle will be 3-feet-by-6-feet once completed. Everyone who designs a piece will get a picture of the puzzle when it’s finished.
June 26 all day, Community Rock painting open to all ages.
Upcoming Summer Reading Programming events for Children: Magic Morgan, Stories, Songs and Smores, Tom Pease, Book Clubs and ReWild Wildlife Sanctuary rehabilitation presenting Protecting our Wildlife Together.
Upcoming events for Teens: Birdhouse decorating on June 7, Teen night at Tom’s Drawing Board July 14 from 3-4 p.m., Teen Theater showings on June 15, July 20 and Aug. 10, and a Sand Castle Competition July 28 Upcoming Summer Reading Programming events for Adults: a snapshot scavenger hunt, with pictures taken from/around businesses in our community. Scott Spoolman will discuss his new book Wisconsin Waters: The Ancient History of Lakes, Rivers, and Waterfalls, June 22 at 4 p.m.
July 29 everyone is invited to come for the ice cream social and stay for the games!
