The Rhinelander Hodag must already defend its title as America’s Favorite High School Mascot.

Scorebooklive.com is re-launching the contest the Hodag won handily, with more than 211,000 votes last fall. This time the website is hosting a 64-team “National Mascot Tournament,” complete with NCAA-style tournament brackets.

“[There are] 66 teams participating, listed according to overall seed, with the lowest three seeds tipping off the action Tuesday in a play-in game to earn the right to face top overall seed Rhinelander in Round 1,” according to the website.

The Hodag’s first round match up is Wednesday, April 26, vs. a play-in winner.
