Sex offender to be released to community supervision

Rhinelander and Oneida County law enforcement are notifying the public that convicted sex offender will be released to community supervision Sept. 6. Albert Chagnon, 40, will reside at 17 W. Prospect St., Rhinelander. He is 6-foot 1-inch tall and weighs approximately 290 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. Chagnon has been convicted of possession of child pornography in 2003, sex offender fail to maintain sex offender registry in 2010, sex offender fail to update information in 2013, violate state/county institution laws in 2014 and battery in 2018.
He will be monitored by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections Probation and Parole Division and local law enforcement, and will be subject to the conditions of the state Sex Offender Registry and placed on GPS monitoring.
