As a result of a joint agreement between the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office and the School District of Rhinelander, the Oneida County Sheriff will have office space located at the Northwood’s Community Elementary School (NCES), located on Highway K.

This will now allow for officers to stay on the west side of the county, increasing patrols to the western Oneida County communities. It will also enhance the communication with the children, parents, and teachers who are part of the Northwood’s Community Elementary School.

Sheriff Hartman stated, “This community service location will provide an area for deputies to do their necessary paperwork and not have to come to the Rhinelander office. It will also give the deputies a chance to have positive interaction with the school children.”

School District of Rhinelander Superintendent, Kelli Jacobi stated, “This partnership between the School District and the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office provides increased opportunities for SDR students to spend time with and observe positive role models while at the same time benefitting the deputies in their day-to-day responsibilities. It’s a win-win for everyone.”
