RHINELANDER – The Rhinelander Area Ambassadors welcomed Rebecca and Cory West and their family as the new owners of Clear Lake

Clear Lake Inn and Resort. Seated in front, Christi Foster, Miranda Gavrilescu, Jan Leschke, Karen Eckert, Dave Russ. In back, Tom Peterson, Tarsie Goes, Chase West, Jaxon West, Rebecca West, Averie West, Cory West and Linda Krebsbach.

Inn and Resort and Beachcomber Lounge, located at 4475 County P in Rhinelander. The Wests said they were looking for a resort to purchase and found this one that is only a few hours away from family. They also said they have “fallen in love” with Rhinelander and the school district. The bar opens at 4 p.m. Wednesday-Friday, and at 2 p.m. Saturday. Fish Fry is served Thursday and Friday; there are specials Wednesday and Saturday. Pizza and cheesecake are two of the popular menu items.

There are six motel rooms and three cottages for rent; the house attached to the bar will be remodeled and available for rent in the spring.

The Nail Diva

The Nail Diva is a new nail salon located at the Blue Davenport, 29 W. Davenport Street in Rhinelander. Appointments with owner Kim King for manicures, gel overlays, pedicures and artificial nails, are by appointment only. Reach her at 715-360-7112, or visit thebluedavenport.com.

Thrifty is Nifty

The Ambassadors also visited Charlene Slack and Linda Sturzl, co-owners of Thrifty is Nifty, located at 91 N Courtney Street. The shop is open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday.
Both donated and new items are for sale, including toys, clothing, shoes, dishware, décor and made-to-order piñatas and wreaths. Donations are welcome and receipts can be given for tax credits and coupons will be issued.

It was Charlene’s dream as a teen to have a garage sale year around and daughter Linda helped to make this come true. They also support all military personnel and veterans and offer a military discount on Tuesdays. Chamber Bucks, cash, credit or debit cards are accepted.

Parking is available in the lot across the street from the store On the Grand Opening day, 30% of the sales and matching funds from the owners were donated to the Children’s Miracle Network.
