There is still time to register for walking challenge

The School District of Rhinelander Community Education Program is once again offering a 100-mile “Get Out and Walk” challenge for the community.

The challenge was offered this past fall, and was well-received, said Community Education coordinator Mike Cheslock, who added that the district encourages individuals, families and friends to take part.

The program is simple. Details including walking and logging 100 miles in seven weeks, April 19-June 6. Routes are up to the individual walker. An official mileage log is available on the school district’s website, rhinelander.k12.wi.us.
After seven weeks, participants email the completed log to Cheslock at [email protected]

Everyone who completes the challenge receives a T-shirt and will be eligible to win Chamber Bucks by a random drawing.
The fee to participate is $10. Register and pay online by Sunday, April 18 at the community section of the district website. Forms can also be printed and mailed to School District of Rhinelander, attention Community Education Program; 665 Coolidge Ave., Suite B Rhinelander, WI 54501.
