Gehring

A Rhinelander man faces felony drug charges following his arrest in Forest County. The Forest County Drug Task Force stopped a vehicle driven by William R. Gehring, 41, March 13 in the town of Argonne. During a vehicle search, detectives found more than 8.5 grams of methamphetamine, controlled prescription pills, drug paraphernalia, a firearm and two tasers and a large amount of cash.

Gehring is being held in the Forest County Jail on a $10,000 cash bond and is expected to be charged with felony methamphetamine possession with intent to deliver, among other charges. Gehring is slated to appear in court April 21. He is also facing methamphetamine possession charges in Oneida County.

Steinert

A passenger in the Gehring vehicle, Brian M. Steinert, 41 of Argonne, was arrested for felony drug possession and has been released from custody after posting a $3,000 cash bond.
