Check it Out at RDL: Take advantage of curbside services

By Virginia Roberts
Rhinelander District Library Director
Do you miss coming to the library? Library staff misses you too! I know we all hope that changes, soon. And while many of you are availing yourselves of the services online, I know many of you cannot. Library staff and I know you want to come in and browse. Until that can happen, there are curbside services to borrow materials of all types.
And for those of you who wish to browse, we have some options for you. The January copy of Book Pages is now available. Not familiar? Book Pages is paid for by the Rhinelander District Library Foundation to give to you. It contains reviews of new books coming out so you can see what might be available—or even suggest something for RDL! Limited back issues of Book Pages are available, too. Call to get your copy, and make an appointment to pick it up curbside.
Staff are happy to take your calls. Have a favorite author, genre, or subject? Tell us what you’d like to read and how many books you’d like, and staff will build a custom bundle just for you. Looking for a weekend or week of movies? There are binge boxes of all kinds, or just like the book bundles, staff will customize for you. Or, a little from the books, and a little from the films. No problem. Magazines are available for check out, too. Music, we have that. And if you want a puzzle or game to go along with any of it. That’s all yours for the checking out.
Don’t have a library card yet? We can have you pick up an application. After verification with a valid photo id and current address, you can use the library.
Remember, just because you can’t come in the building and look around, doesn’t mean you have to be without what the library has to offer.
Have questions? Check us out on the web at www.rhinelanderlibrary.org or give us a call at 715-364-1070, 9-5 Monday, Wednesday, and Friday; and 9-6, Tuesday and Thursday. We look forward to hearing from you.
