Rhinelander man charged with possession of child pornography

Star Journal Report
A Rhinelander man will be arraigned Nov. 17 on dozens of felony charges, including 29 counts of possession of child pornography. Matthew Alan Walker, 28, waived his preliminary hearing in Oneida County Circuit Court Monday.
Walker was arrested earlier this month after the Rhinelander Police Department received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
In addition to possession of child pornography, Walker faces charges of exposing genitals to a child, causing a child to view/listen to a sex act and child sexual exploitation. For each of the class D felony possession of child pornography charges, the maximum prison term is 15 years plus 10 years of extended supervision.
Walker and his attorney Elizabeth Svehlek also filed a request for a substitute judge. Arraignment is scheduled for Nov. 17.
