Star Journal Report

The Oneida County Health Department (OCHD) is collaborating with the Wisconsin National Guard to provide free COVID-19 testing twice a week through Dec. 10.

Testing will begin Tuesday, Oct. 20, from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. at Grace Foursquare Church, and Thursdays, beginning Oct. 22, from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

Appointments are required and can be made online HERE or by calling 715-499-3392 Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.

Testing is intended for people who are symptomatic or close contacts who are five years and older. COVID-19 symptoms include fever, cough, loss of taste/smell, shortness of breath, sore throat, fatigue, body aches, diarrhea, vomiting or nausea, chills and muscle aches.

Anyone receiving a test should be prepared to provide a current address, county of residence and phone number. Testing will occur inside the rear building, however, capacity limits, physical distancing and masking will be strictly enforced. NO RESTROOM FACILITIES will be available onsite.

The National Guard will collect nasal swabs from those being tested to conduct a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) confirmatory test. The National Guard will be in uniform and in full PPE during these events. Please note that anyone tested is required to stay home until test results come back. Results will be provided via email or phone by the Natioanl Guard or your local health department, in a timely manner.
