Oneida County man hit by car, killed Tuesday morning

An Oneida County man was killed Tuesday morning when he was hit by a vehicle that left the road on Hwy B near Meister Stockley Road. Killed was Larry D. Badgley, 65, of the town of Schoepke.
The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from the 16-year-old driver of the car who stated she left the road and hit a tree, sustaining head and foot injuries. A second 911 call was received stating the car had also struck a male subject.
According to Patrol Captain Tyler Young, Badgley died at the scene. The driver, Nevaeh Roy of Summit Lake, was transported by ambulance to Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital.
Young said the accident remains under investigation.
