Flower baskets to once again beautify downtown Rhinelander

The snow banks of only a few months ago will soon be replaced on downtown Rhinelander streets with hanging flower baskets. The baskets, originally a Downtown Rhinelander Inc. project, cost about $100 each for the flowers, fertilizer and labor.

A fundraising campaign is underway to ensure the flower baskets continue to beautify the downtown area. Standing among the 100 planters at Forth Floral greenhouse are Pat LaPorte, design committee chair, and Marilyn Norden, who along with Beth Kost and Sandy Bergman volunteer for the fundraising campaign.

Contributions of any size may be made to Downtown Rhinelander Inc., PO Box 1638 Rhinelander WI 54501.
