Friday, April 5

The Northwoods Ukers: Every Friday from 2-3 p.m. at Olson Memorial Library, Eagle River. All welcome to learn, jam and have fun.
TGI ArtFriday: 4-6 p.m.. ArtStart Rhinelander My House, taught be Ingrid Bodensteiner. Kids art class using bright paint colors traditionally used in Haitian art to paint a vibrant picture of each student’s home and the people in it. Sliding price scale available. Sunday, April 7

Krik Krak, Haitian Literature Day:  CANCELED
Open Swim: 10 a.m.-1 p.m., Heck Family Community Pool at Rhinelander High School. Free admission, sign-in required. Lap swim, family time, water basketball and more; lifeguard on duty and locker rooms are open. For more information, call 715-365-9745 or visit the school district’s website.

Monday, April 8

Personal Essentials Pantry (PEP): Second Monday, monthly, 3:30-5:30 p.m., First United Methodist Church, Rhinelander. Personal items for people in need. New clients should bring documentation of food pantry, WIC, BadgerCare or Food Share program participation.
Aspirus Community Fitness Center: 6-7:45 a.m. and 3:30-6 p.m. Monday through Friday at Rhinelander High School. FREE and open to students and the public.
4K Storytime: 10-10:45 a.m., Rhinelander District Library. Geared toward children entering kindergarten in the fall of 2019, featuring stories, fingerplays, songs and action rhymes followed by a craft. 715-365-1070 ext. 1073.
Baby Storytime: 10:15 a.m. Mondays, Rhinelander District Library. Twenty-minute program designed for ages six months to two years; simple stories, fingerplays and music. Social/playtime follows. 715-365-1070 ext. 1073.

Tuesday, April 9

Wednesday, April 10

Sensory Storytime: 10:15 a.m., Rhinelander District Library. Inclusive program is designed to meet the needs of all abilities; including autism spectrum, sensory processing issues and kids who just can’t sit still. The storytime will engage all the senses through stories, movement, music and play. Wednesdays at 10:15 a.m. through May 22. 715-365-1070.
Rhinelander Area Retired Educators Association: 12 p.m., Days Inn. Membership meeting; speaker’s topic is “mindfulness.”
