Friday, Jan. 25

Wii Games Tournament: 10:30-11:30 for ages 8-12 amd 1-2:30 p.m. for ages 12-18 at the new Demmer Memorial Library in Three Lakes. Celebrate the “no school” day by previewing the new library and play Wii games on the big-screen TV. For information, call 715-546-3391.
Hot Chocolate Snow Bash: 5:30 p.m. at the YMCA of the Northwoods. Hot chocolate and cookie social, live entertainment from TuneSmith Academy, family-themed raffle baskets, crafts and games. Sponsored by Rhinelander Lions Club. Free admission, proceeds benefit Y youth and family programs. For information, call 715-362-9622.
The Northwoods Ukers: Every Friday from 2-3 p.m. at Olson Memorial Library, Eagle River. All welcome to learn, jam and have fun.

Saturday, Jan. 26

Warm For Winter: 10 a.m. to noon, Friendly Village, 900 Boyce Dr., Rhinelander, Warm clothing, bedding and footwear available for the entire family, and toys for children. Free to anyone with a need; bring a bag for items. For more information, Jan, 715-362-7157.
Family Zone at the Y: 2-5 p.m., YMCA of the Northwoods, Rhinelander. Strengthening family bonds, creating lasting memories. Activities include swimming, open gym, bounce house, games, play and this week, a family movie. Free for members, $10 for non-members. For more information, 715-362-9622.
Personal Essentials Pantry (PEP): Last Saturday, monthly, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. First United Methodist Church, 724 Arbutus St., Rhinelander. Personal items for people in need. New clients should bring documentation of food pantry, WIC, BadgerCare or Food Share program participation.
Indoor Farmers Market: 9 a.m.-noon at YMCA of the Northwoods. Weekly vendors vary; products sold to include eggs, root crops and mixed vegetables, pumpkins, apples, jams, jellies, salsa, cheese, homemade breads and more. For more information, call 715-362-9622 ext. 118.

Sunday, Jan. 27

Open Swim: 10 a.m.-1 p.m., Heck Family Community Pool at Rhinelander High School. Free admission, sign-in required. Lap swim, family time, water basketball and more; lifeguard on duty and locker rooms are open. For more information, call 715-365-9745 or visit the school district’s website.

Monday, Jan. 28

Northwoods Knitters and Purlers: 12:30 p.m., Woodruff Town Hall, Hwy. 47 in Woodruff. Meeting open to all who have an interest in knitting and meeting new people with a common interest; something for everyone from beginner to advanced. For more information, call Nan, 715-356-9410.
Three Lakes High School Coding Club: 3:30-5 p.m., high school computer lab. Grades 6-12 invited for free play with coding apps. Guidance and direction will be given if desired, otherwise free play with Scratch and other coding software. For information, 715-546-3391.
Baby Storytime: 10:15 a.m. Mondays, Rhinelander District Library. Twenty-minute program designed for ages six months to two years; simple stories, fingerplays and music. Social/playtime follows. 715-365-1070 ext. 1073.
Aspirus Community Fitness Center: 6-7:45 a.m. and 3:30-6 p.m. Monday through Friday at Rhinelander High School. FREE and open to students and the public.
4K Storytime: 10-10:45 a.m., Rhinelander District Library. Geared to four and five-year-olds, featuring stories, fingerplays, songs and action rhymes followed by a craft. 715-365-1070 ext. 1073.

Tuesday, Jan. 29

Wednesday, Jan. 30

In Progress: 7-9 p.m., last Wednesday of every month, at ArtStart Rhinelander. An evening dedicated to sharing your craft, however finished it may be: storytelling, poetry, music, comedy, theater, etc. Reserve your spotlight by text, 715-550-0177 or phone, 715-362-4328.

Thursday, Jan. 31

Men Connecting through Grief: 1-3 p.m., the last Thursday of every month, Ascension at Home office, 111 E. Davenport St., Rhinelander. All men who have experienced the death of a loved one invited to join others in ongoing opportunity to get support for their grief through special meetings focused on men only. Parent/Tot Time: 10 a.m., Thursdays, Rhinelander District Library. Twenty-minute program for ages two to three-and-a-half accompanied by an adult. Also Story Time at 10 a.m., Thursdays, Rhinelander District Library. A 40-minute program for ages three-and-a-half to six.
