Wilderness Queen ready to leave the Northwoods

Northwoods river boat Wilderness Queen sailed its final cruise on the Wisconsin and Pelican rivers Tuesday. It was pulled from the water at the Pelican Rapids boat landing and awaits transport south to its new home on Lake Delavan.
Patti and Ben Zastrow owned the boat for six years before deciding to sell and relocate in Michigan.
Calling the Wilderness Queen her “baby,” Zastrow said the sale is bittersweet as she helped prepare it for the journey to southern Wisconsin. The railings were removed and placed in the boat, and the captain’s cockpit area on top were removed so the boat could float under the bridge to the boat landing.
The boat will get a new name and a face lift, Zastrow added, before it goes back to work.
More on the Queen can be found here.
