Green Shades attends jazz festival

Rhinelander High School’s Green Shades Jazz Ensemble attended the 9th annual Shawano Jazz Festival Saturday, March 10. The band performed for three judges, participated in a clinic and attended a Master Class.

The event culminated with an evening concert, featuring world renowned saxophonist, Sal Lozano. Seventeen jazz ensembles from around the state also participated.

Soloist awards went to Samantha Smith, tenor sax and Aydan Maass, drum set.
