Rhinelander man killed in Motorcycle crash

A Rhinelander man involved in a motorcycle accident in Oneida County Thursday has died as a result of his injuries.
Oneida County Chief Deputy Dan Hess has identified the deceased as Charles S. Eye, 26, of Rhinelander.
According to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office, the 911 center received a 911 call reporting a motorcycle-versus-truck accident on Hwy. P at 3:41 p.m. Thursday. The initial investigation indicates the motorcycle, drive by Eye, was traveling east when it entered the westbound lane, struck a vehicle and then struck another vehicle before landing in the ditch.
The victim was first transported to Ascension St. Mary’s hospital before being transported by helicopter to another hospital.
