The Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a brainstorming meeting to generate ideas for promoting the downtown business district during the streetscape project that will start in early April and last through October. The meeting is March 9 at 7:30 a.m. at Hext Theater on Brown Street. Representatives from the City and Downtown Rhinelander will also be participating.

“We know that there are a lot of great ideas of how to attract customers to our downtown during the construction project,” said Bill Clow, Executive Director of the Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce. “This is an attempt to pull a lot of those ideas together so we can consider them and decide which ones to act on. We’ll have coffee and notepads ready. We just ask those interested to bring ideas.”

The Chamber has been working with the City of Rhinelander, Downtown Rhinelander and other groups and organizations to develop plans to support the downtown business district during the construction project. The project, which will impact 20 blocks of downtown in several different phases, will provide a much needed update to the city’s downtown sewer and storm water infrastructure. More information about the streetscape project can be found at http://www.rhinelanderstreetscape.com/

Anyone who has ideas but cannot make the meeting can contact Bill Clow at the Chamber office at [email protected] or 715-365-7464. Additional meetings may be scheduled in there is interest.
