Tara Perlberg - Educator of the Month (1)Tara Perlberg is the first recipient of the Outstanding Educator of the Month at James Williams Middle School (JWMS). The Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) at JWMS sponsors the award which will feature one staff member monthly for “going above and beyond” in educating students at the school.

Students have the opportunity to nominate a staff member by providing an example of why that staff member should receive the award. Nomination slips are located around the school with two drop box locations. Students are encouraged to look for the positive things others do to make JWMS great, starting with the educators.

PAC members commended Perlberg for the ways she engages the students in learning and to shows respect to all.  Some of the students’ examples of Mrs. Perlberg going ‘above and beyond’ are:

–  “She is super fun and she teaches in a way that I can understand Math.”

– “Mrs. Perlberg is very good at her job and is really nice to students. She is kind and courteous!”

– “She helps me when I need it, is really nice, likes to have fun and has this thing that we play a game about the subject we are learning.”

Congratulations to Ms. Perlberg!
