Katie Wendlandt, daughter of Susan and Douglas Wendlandt of Arbor Vitae and grandchild of Billie and Bob Wendlandt of Minocqua, was chosen to perform in three performances in Danceworks “A Concert of Dance” at UW Green Bay on March 29th.

Katie performed to her own dance choreography, titled “Love the Life You Live,” the name of a speech given by Steve Jobs combined with the instrumental music of Josh Beattie, under the guidance of UW Green Bay Professor Denise Carlson-Gardner.

Katie also performed to “The Deadly Seven” and “Banji.”

Katie is the recipient of  scholarships given to her in 2013 and 2014  through  Manito Art League which has helped her further her education in performing arts.

Katie Wendlandt is a senior at UW Green Bay and has  worked with autistic children as a line therapist since 2011.  Her plans are to attend Graduate School at Columbia College, Chicago Ill. majoring in Movement and Dance Therapy, so she can continue her work with autistic children as a specialized lead therapist.
